I am sure if any of you are like me you are tyring to get everything done to prepare for all the gatherings to come, but I wanted to remind you all that New Years Day is just around the corner, and we are about to make a new years resolution that we can not quit, or we can but will be encouraged not to!!
We will be reading from "The Daily Message through the bible in one year" by Eugene H. Peterson.
I got my book from Crossroads, it is at Barnes and Noble and i have listed a link to amazon it is pretty cheap there.
A quick preview to the goals. Read the bible in one year. Take 5 minutes out of each day to spend in the word and watch the Lord work in our lives and share with each other how we are affected by what we are reading. This blog spot will be an open book to encourage, share and talk about what we are reading. You can do it how often or how little you want. This is an invite to all who would like to join, I am a table leader at my MOPS group and will be inviting all who are willing to join, and I am also opening it up to any of my clients who would like to read along. So if you know anyone interested just give them this blog site and they can pick up on the day they want to begin. This is not meant to be a burden to anyone. This is going to hopefully inspire us to be the best that we can be in all walks of our lives, but most importantly putting the Lord first in our crazy hectic lives. The book has a reading for 6 days out of the 7. So one day can be made catching up or just taking a break. I have never done this before but I am so excited to do this. I am VERY OPEN to suggestions, ideas, different ways, anything to make this easy, and an enjoyable learning opportunity for all who can do this. So if anyone would like to email me in private they are more than welcome, otherwise you are welcome to post any comments ideas or suggestions right on the blog.
